Hundreds of people gathered in Paris on Wednesday to protest the French government's newly implemented health pass, which prevents visitors to museums, cinemas or swimming pools from entering if they cannot show the document proving they've been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have had a recent negative test.
The pass, along with compulsory vaccinations for health-care workers, are the country's latest efforts to control COVID-19 as the Delta variant has become the dominant strain in the country.
Lawmakers on Wednesday also debated extending the pass and from the start of August, it will be needed to enter restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping centres.
