An especially bitter winter in the Northern Hemisphere has been making living on the streets even tougher. And with the coronavirus pandemic raging crowded-shelters aren’t the safest place to spend the night. It's not just the cold the homeless have to contend with - COVID-19 poses a special danger for a group likely to have other health problems too. Now with many hotels empty due to the crisis some cities have found a clever way to bring a vulnerable population in from the cold.
