Fresh off of her Tokyo Olympics gold-medal win, Canada’s women's national soccer team captain Christine Sinclair says it “hasn’t sunk in yet at all.”

“This gold medal, this one’s special,” the world’s all-time international goal scorer said of the team’s victory against Sweden.

Off the field, Sinclair is now using her platform to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis (MS). Her mother is one of 90,000 Canadians battling the disease, of which Canada has one of the highest rates in the world.

Global News' Kayla McLean speaks with Sinclair about her fight to help end MS.
