Artificial intelligence is making its mark on many industries, including in medicine, and the latest example of this is an AI model developed by Canadian scientists for treating breast cancer.
Just a year into development, the AI model uses a new type of MRI scan in breast cancer patients to capture details and properties previous MRI systems couldn't do.
As Katherine Ward explains, it's capable of predicting the best way to treat patients, such as whether chemotherapy would be helpful prior to surgery.
