The U.S. Supreme Court appears poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to a leaked initial draft majority opinion. North of the border, abortions are the second most common surgical procedure in Canada.

They are funded under provincial health plans and are legally available across the country. Yet access often isn’t simple, and if the procedures become harder to access in the U.S., it could compound matters in Canada.
