Residents in East Sussex have hit out at a hosepipe ban due to come into force next week, accusing South East Water of failing to carry out crucial repair work.

The company says the restrictions, which will affect more than two million homes and businesses across Kent and Sussex, are a result of more people working from home.

But residents have called for the company to be stripped of its license, saying that some leaks have gone unrepaired for two years.
