Prime Minister Narendra Modi indirectly targeted the opposition's decision to boycott the inauguration of the new Parliament House. The PM reached Delhi on Thursday (May 25) morning after completing a three-nation tour of Japan, Papua New Guinea and Australia. Referring to his community event in Sydney, PM Modi said that not only Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and officials of the country's ruling party, but also a former prime minister and opposition member were present during the Indian community event. .

The PM said that it was an atmosphere of democracy that everyone participated in the program of the Indian community. Everyone gave respect to the Indian representative and it was not about Modi's pride but about India's strength. This remark of the PM has come at a time when several opposition parties, including the Congress, have announced a boycott of the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House. Opposition parties demand that President Draupadi Murmu should not inaugurate the new Parliament House.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नए संसद भवन के उद्घाटन का बहिष्कार करने के विपक्ष के फैसले पर परोक्ष रूप से निशाना साधा. जापान, पापुआ न्यू गिनी और ऑस्ट्रेलिया की तीन देशों की यात्रा पूरी करने के बाद पीएम गुरुवार (25 मई) की सुबह दिल्ली पहुंचे. सिडनी (Sydney) में अपने सामुदायिक कार्यक्रम का जिक्र करते हुए पीएम मोदी (PM Modi) ने कहा कि भारतीय समुदाय के कार्यक्रम के दौरान न केवल ऑस्ट्रेलियाई प्रधानमंत्री एंथनी अल्बनीज और देश की सत्तारूढ़ पार्टी के पदाधिकारी बल्कि एक पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री और विपक्षी सदस्य भी मौजूद थे.

पीएम ने कहा कि ये लोकतंत्र का माहौल था कि हर कोई भारतीय समुदाय के कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुआ. सभी ने भारतीय प्रतिनिधि को सम्मान दिया और ये मोदी के गौरव के बारे में नहीं, बल्कि भारत की ताकत के बारे में था. पीएम की ये टिप्पणी ऐसे समय में आई है जब कांग्रेस समेत कई विपक्षी दलों ने नए संसद भवन के उद्घाटन समारोह के बहिष्कार की घोषणा की है. विपक्षी दलों की मांग है कि नए संसद भवन का उद्घाटन पीएम को नहीं बल्कि राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू को करना चाहिए.
