Anger over his handling of the pandemic is growing, with Brazil recording the second-highest death toll after the United States.

But with the criticism of bankers and billionaires ringing in his ears, Bolsonaro appeared to be more conciliatory.

We speak to Jairo Lugo-Ocando from the Northwestern University in Qatar about the economic impact of Bolsonaro's inaction.
