The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza says at least thirty-five people have been killed and dozens more injured in an Israeli airstrike on Rafah. It says the strike hit an area where thousands of displaced civilians are sheltering. Israel confirmed its military has carried out an attack on Rafah, stating that two senior Hamas militants were killed when it targeted a compound used by the militant group.
