The Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Andrew Griffith MP, has said the government will not take responsibility for the financial storm hitting the UK following the chancellor's mini-budget on Friday.

His comments come after the Bank of England announced unprecedented intervention to help stabilise the country's economy.

"What we've seen is the Bank of England doing their job," Mr Griffith said in a conversation with Sky News' Economics Editor Ed Conway.
