The Government has announced the biggest shake-up to the railways in a generation, with a new publicly-owned body taking charge of ticketing and timetables, as well as being responsible for rail tracks and stations.

It will be known as 'Great British Railways' and will use a new version of the British Rail double-arrow logo - but it is not a return to nationalisation.
