As Canada hits a 39-year-high with its inflation rate, the rising cost of living has gone from being a fact of life or mild annoyance to the main source of financial anxiety. According to a new Ipsos poll done exclusively for Global News, 85 per cent of respondents are stressed their income won't keep up with inflation. Anne Gaviola has more.

A powerful earthquake has left parts of eastern Afghanistan in ruins, killing at least 1,000 people. As Redmond Shannon reports, the disaster in the Taliban-ruled country is being compounded by a hunger crisis and an economic collapse.
