In the Mexican state of Puebla, a giant sinkhole formed over 60 meters (196 ft) in diameter and of 20 meters (66 ft) deep. Environmental authorities say the sinkhole is the result of geological changes in the soil and subsoil, while residents blame the human factor and the overexploitation of aquifers by large industrial conglomerates.
