General Election 2024: Councils unable to keep up with surge in demand for postal votes

People in Scotland have been left unable to vote in the upcoming general election after postal votes failed to arrive before Scottish schools went on summer holidays.

Councils haven't been able to match the increase in demand for postal votes, which has risen by 42% in Edinburgh since the last general election.
