General Bipin Rawat Killed In Chopper Crash: What We Know So Far

Defence Chief General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 other people were killed after a chopper they were travelling in crashed in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, the Air Force said. The accident took place around noon near the town of Coonoor. General Rawat was appointed as the country's first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government in late 2019.
