In yet another victory for protesters, a Quebec Superior Court judge has rejected an injunction request to dismantle a weeks-old encampment by pro-Palestinian activists at McGill University.

Justice Marc St.-Pierre wrote in his decision that McGill failed to prove an urgent need to take down the encampment.

The encampment began April 27 amid a wave of similar demonstrations across campuses in the United States over the Israel-Hamas conflict.

As Gloria Henriquez reports, with negotiations between protesters and the university at a standstill, what happens next remains unclear.
