Thousands of Ukrainian prisoners of war (POWs) are reportedly being held in Russian-held territories in eastern Ukraine, according to human rights advocates.

There are also reports that a large number of those being held in captivity are being tortured.

Global News spoke to one man who was released in a prisoner exchange about Russia's treatment of POWs. He claims interrogators are using electric shock on captives.

Sean O’Shea reports from Kharkiv and says people in northeastern Ukraine vow to continue their fight.
