Family in tears as first proof of hostage alive released by Hamas in seven months

The mother of Hersh Golderg-Polin has described her heartbreak at seeing her son for the first time in seven months, in a Hamas hostage video.

Rachel Goldberg-Polin's son was taken by Hamas at the Nova music festival on 7 October.

His image is plastered on walls and street corners across west Jerusalem.

Recent protests in Tel Aviv for a hostage deal are putting more pressure on the government.
