Yossi Beilin, an ex-Israeli justice minister and former negotiator during the Oslo Accords, says it is “much premature” to say what the Israeli military presence will be in Gaza after the war.
Earlier, Netanyahu said that Israel would assume security responsibility for an indefinite period of time after the war, while Gallant said Israel would have “absolute freedom of action”.
Speaking to Al Jazeera, Beilin said he said his “hope” was that Hamas would “no more rule the Gaza Strip”.
