Eight children and a security guard have been killed in a rare school shooting in Serbia, officials say.
The suspect is a 14-year-old seventh-grade student.
Police in central Belgrade received a call about the shooting at the Vladislav Ribnikar school at about 8:40am (06:40 GMT) on Wednesday, they said in a statement.
The accused teenager fired several shots from his father’s gun at other students and the school guard.
At least one of six injured pupils was in a life-threatening condition and was undergoing surgery, reports said, while a teacher was also seriously wounded.
