Hundreds of worshipers at the Afetorku Gbordzi shrine in Dagbamate have gathered at a huge Chapel-like shrine to thank their gods as part of the Easter festivities. Though Easter is a Christian festival, the people of Dagbamate also mark the day with thanksgiving to their gods for their protection. This ceremony is held annually with the attendance of notable men and women of the area and the country at large.
