A growing number of politicians in the Philippines are accusing President Rodrigo Duterte of corruption.
With one year left in his term, Duterte’s administration is being bombarded by allegations of plunder and abuse of power.
Opposition leader Sonny Trillanes has revealed government documents that show how a long-time Duterte aide’s family has acquired hundreds of million of dollars' worth of contracts in the southern region of Davao, where Duterte was a city mayor for more than 20 years.
Even Senator Manny Pacquiao, the world-renowned boxer, who has long been one of Duterte's strongest supporters says corruption is rampant in the government.
“Does he think my own cabinet will allow theft in billions?” President Rodrigo Duterte said, dismissing the accusation as a statement from someone who is "punch-drunk".
