The new Hindu temple inaugurated in Dubai houses 16 deities and the Guru Granth Sahib, said Indian ambassador to UAE Sanjay Sudhir on Tuesday. The temple was inaugurated by UAE's Minister of Tolerance, Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan. "The UAE has almost 35 lakh Indians. About 20 lakh of them live in Dubai only. All Indians are encouraged to practice their religion here by the government by way of providing land for temples," said Mr Sudhir.
