December the 17th marks 12 years since a street vendor set himself on fire in Tunisia.
The incident triggered a wave of revolutions known as the Arab Spring.
This year the day coincides with parliamentary elections.
However, in the city where it all began in 2010, there is a sense of dissatisfaction with the progress made since the revolution.
Many Tunisians are far more focused on a growing economic crisis and threats to public finances that have caused salary delays and the risk of shortages of key subsidised goods.
