Des Ki Baat - July 26, 2021: Several villages in Maharashtra's Sangli are cut off due to havoc caused by floods. Several districts of Maharashtra have been severely battered by torrential rain for days now. Floods and landslides triggered by rain have led to deaths, loss of property and severe inundation of important roads. Visuals show people stranded on the roofs of their homes as the water level continues to rise on key roads connecting districts. Maharashtra's Sangli district has been badly affected by the heavy rainfall, partly due to a tremendous surge in the water level of the adjoining Krishna river. (Audio in Hindi)
