Des Ki Baat: Farmer Leaders Object To Prime Minister Modi's "Andolan Jeevi" Remark

Des Ki Baat - February 9, 2021: Farmers protesting the agriculture laws say they are willing to hold talks with the centre to resolve the weeks-long stand-off, but have taken exception to a remark by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that refers to "andolan jeevi (professional protesters)" who have hijacked their nationwide protests. Thousands of farmers, especially from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh have camped outside Delhi over the past two months and more, demanding the repeal of three farm laws that the government claims will reform the sector. The farmers, however, feel these will lead them into a disadvantageous position. (Audio In Hindi)
