Shaheen Bagh and adjoining areas in Delhi witnessed traffic snarls on Monday after protests erupted there with hundreds of people, including women, opposing an anti-encroachment drive of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation. The protests erupted as bulldozers rolled into the area in the presence of a huge number of police staff, including senior officers, causing no traffic movement at Shaheen Bagh, Kalindi Kunj, Jaitpur, Sarita Vihar and Mathura Road, among other places.
