देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में बारिश जारी है, जम्मू-कश्मीर के कुपवाड़ा में बादल फटने की खबर है और उत्तराखंड में भारी बारिश के कारण नदियाँ उफान पर हैं। गुजरात के राजकोट और गिर सोमनाथ जैसे कुछ शहरों में बाढ़ आ गई है, जबकि भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (आईएमडी) ने अगले कुछ दिनों में पश्चिमी और मध्य भारत में भारी बारिश की भविष्यवाणी की है। मंगलवार को केरल के चार जिलों के सभी स्कूलों और कॉलेजों में छुट्टी घोषित कर दी गई है क्योंकि आईएमडी ने 23 जुलाई से 26 जुलाई तक राज्य के अधिकांश स्थानों पर गरज के साथ बारिश की भविष्यवाणी की है। वायनाड, कोझिकोड, कन्नूर और मलप्पुरम जिलों के लिए छुट्टी घोषित की गई है।

Rains continued to lash different parts of the country, with a cloudburst reported from Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir and heavy rainfall leading to rivers overflowing in Uttarakhand. Some towns in Gujarat such as Rajkot and Gir Somnath remained flooded, even as India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rains for western and central India in the next few days. A holiday has been declared on Tuesday for all schools and colleges in four districts of Kerala on Tuesday as the IMD has predicted thundershowers at most places in the state from July 23 to July 26. The holiday had been declared for Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kannur and Malappuram districts.
