A night-time curfew is already in place, the capital's monuments have been closed off to the public, and the police and National Guard are on high alert for the remaining nine days of Donald Trump's presidency.

The FBI fears that armed militia groups and protesters could try and stage another assault on this Capitol, dozens of other state capitols around the country, or even disrupt the inauguration of President Biden on the 20th January.

And then there are the unprecedented attempts to remove Donald Trump from office, even though he has just nine days left in the White House.
