President Joe Biden says the United States will have enough vaccine for every adult by the end of May, thanks to a deal between Johnson & Johnson and Merck.
The president said Tuesday that Merck had agreed to help manufacture the recently approved Johnson & Johnson vaccine, in a deal that helps rapidly accelerate the vaccine rollout in the U.S.
“That’s progress,” Biden said in remarks at the White House.
Biden also said states should prioritize teachers and childcare workers in their vaccination plans.
