The Prime Minister has announced an extra £400m to help children in England catch up on lost learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Boris Johnson says the "extensive programme" will give teachers the "tools and resources they need to support their pupils".

Experts and unions called the money a "good start", but have warned against overwhelming pupils and teachers.
