SAGE scientist Calum Semple says the idea that every day of relaxed rules over Christmas means five more days of restrictions is 'right'.

In a wide-ranging interview, he told Sophy Ridge 'prolonged personal interactions' would drive the R number up.

Prof Semple said construction workers and women working in hospitality seemed to be most a risk of catching COVID-19 at the moment.
