COVID-19: Manitoba set to receive federal aid as hospital ICUs exceed capacity

When it comes to COVID-19 in Canada, the outlook is already improving in several provinces that are already making plans to reopen. But the same cannot be said for Manitoba, which is still seeing a surge in new infections and people falling seriously ill.

Federal aid is already being sent to the province as its hospitals are overwhelmed, resorting to some critically-ill patients being sent to Ontario for treatment, while non-COVID patients are being left to suffer as urgent operations are stalled.

As Brittany Greenslade reports, doctors say the province's current pandemic restrictions are not enough to help.
