Cost of Living: Higher mortgage rates and rents 'a tragedy caused by the government' - Labour

Shadow Scotland Secretary Ian Murray has blamed the Tories for having "crashed the economy" and having "low growth since 2010" for the cost of living crisis.

Asked why Labour isn't offering more to help, Mr Murray repeated his party would "get the regulators, the Bank of England, the mortgage providers together to try and find a solution".
