Coronavirus: President Joe Biden sets May 1 target to have all adults eligible for vaccine

U.S. President Joe Biden announced on Thursday he was directing all states and tribal governments to ensure all adult Americans are eligible to get the vaccine by May 1.

He stressed it did not mean every adult American would be vaccinated by that date, but if an American wants to get vaccinated they can get in line without issue no later than May 1.

Biden also said they would launch a website to help people find where they can get vaccinated.

He added with the passage of the $1.9 trillion relief bill, along with the plan to vaccinate school staff, he plans to open a majority of kindergarten to Grade 8 schools in his first 100 days in office.
