The New Brunswick government provided an update to the public on Saturday saying there are six new presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total of presumptive or positive to 17.

This comes on the heels of the government shutting down all schools in the province until further notice. The closure status will be reassessed in the first week of April in collaboration with public health officials working to limit the spread of COVID-19.

New Brunswick has unveiled an online self-assessment tool to assist the province’s residents during the novel coronavirus pandemic and reported that on Friday alone it received 5,500 visits, which they believe is assisting with keeping health phone lines free.
