Alberta’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw spoke to media on Monday ahead of a cabinet meeting to discuss the next steps to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Hinshaw announced new measures would be coming on Tuesday.
During the media availability, Hinshaw announced the province recorded 1,549 new cases of COVID-19 in the province with 5 additional deaths.
Hinshaw also announced changes to COVID-19 contact-tracing measures as the province deals with increased case numbers overwhelming the system.
