At COP15, protesters took to the streets in Montreal to demand action over words from the global leaders attending the United Nations Biodiversity Conference.

More than 20,000 students in Quebec’s largest city are on strike in relation to the summit this week. Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pledged $800 million to support Indigenous-led conservation projects.

Global's Mike Armstrong explains what else this promise is meant to accomplish and has scenes from the protests being held around the conference.
