Controversial Textbooks: Group at Nzema demands withdrawal of 'The Golden History of Ghana'

A group calling itself people of Nzema in the Nzemamanle of the Western region are demanding the National Council Curriculum and Assessment to withdraw the book entitled "The Golden History of Ghana" for basic six pupils published by New Golden Publications in Kumasi or face the wrath of Nzemaland. The content of the book according to the group distorts history, belittles Dr Kwame Nkrumah, and brings his life-long unmatched sacrifice and patriotism into disrepute. The group which describes itself as a unified voice of chiefs and people of Nzema home and abroad has threatened legal action against the publisher of the books are not withdrawn. They are demanding an immediate withdrawal and destruction of the said books from all schools.
