Colombian government apologises to journalist who was tortured, raped

The Colombian government has apologised to Jineth Bedoya, a journalist who was kidnapped, tortured and raped while reporting on the country’s civil war in 2000 in international hearings at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
But Bedoya says the government apology is inadequate given the impunity in Colombia's courts and the continuing violence against women and journalists in the country.
