Climate: Spain braced for record-breaking April temperatures of 40C

Spain could experience its hottest-ever day for April this week with forecasters predicting temperatures of up to 40C (104F).

Record-breaking temperatures are expected between Wednesday and Friday, reaching temperatures normally seen in July.

Spain's PM has warned of the ongoing "challenge" faced by the country as climate change continues to bring extreme conditions to the Mediterranean.
