The world faces a food crisis as some 345 million people don't have nearly enough to eat. Last year, the international community filled gaps opened by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but those efforts were largely stopgap and food systems remain fragile. The U.N. World Food Programme is at the center of confronting those challenges. Nick Schifrin spoke with its new executive director, Cindy McCain.
