China: Tea with Xi ends Emmanuel Macron's three-day tour

French President Emmanuel Macron has met Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the governor's palace in Guangzhou in Guangdong province, southern China.

President Xi spoke with pride about the development of Guangdong, the country’s economic powerhouse in the south, when he hosted a tea ceremony for Mr Macron.

Previously in the week Mr Macron implored China to "bring Russia to it's senses" over the war in Ukraine.
