China: Residents rescued from gushing floodwaters after weakened Typhoon Haikui made landfall

Several areas in Fujian, China, recorded more than one foot of rainfall in just over 24 hours.

Thousands of people were evacuated from their homes and vehicles were swept away in floods and storms.
