Chad's former President Hissane Habre has died at the age of 79 in Senegal, where he was serving a life sentence.
He was tried in 2016 for crimes against humanity, in the first African Union-backed trial of a former leader.
Habre rose to power in a coup in 1982 and ruled for eight years before himself being deposed.
