It's been a year in the making but two half-siblings from different sides of Canada met for the first time this week in Nova Scotia after DNA matched them together as family.

Debby Martin, 74, says she always had suspicions she may have not been the biological child of her parents. And after sending a DNA sample to an online ancestry website, Ancestry.com, her suspicions were confirmed. On Thursday, she met her half-sibling Colin Brown.

"I was so happy to see him and that he was real," she said. "He was there. He was mine."

Amber Fryday was at the airport to take in the emotional scene and find out how the family is feeling.
