A new study suggests Canada's actual COVID-19 death toll could be much higher than the more than 26,000 officially recorded over the pandemic.
According to a study by the Royal Society of Canada, although 58 per cent of Canada's COVID deaths occurred among older adults in long-term care homes, an in-depth analysis suggests at least two-thirds of deaths that happened outside care homes may have been missed.
Abigail Bimman explains how thousands of those fatalities may have gone unnoticed.
