Canada’s Defence Minister Anita Anand made her first official trip to Washington, D.C. this week.

Anand met with her U.S. counterpart, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon, where they discussed relations between the two countries and the continued joint response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Abigail Bimman sat down with the defence minister to learn more about Canada’s next steps in its support for Ukraine.
