Canada's men's national soccer team has beaten Mexico in a World Cup qualifier, sending the Canadians to the top of their CONCACAF World Cup group.

Canada hasn't been to the World Cup since 1986. It had not even qualified to play in this tournament of the best Caribbean, North and Central American teams since 1998.
