Wildfires swept through Canada's Northwest Territories on Tuesday (August 15), forcing people to evacuate their homes, almost totally destroying one remote community and posing a risk to territorial capital Yellowknife. Emergency vehicles were dispatched to contain the blazes and a state of emergency was declared.
